Default puppy in need in TN

Anyone in Tennesee able to help find this guy a home?
Anyone know any rescue groups with room for him???
http://www.huunhuurtu.com/abandonedpup.html

The story of where he came from is below- the finder is a cat person and
sent the original to a cat list:

Hi all,

Survived the trip to the Klingon Homeworld (Belgium for non-trekkies
g), my parents' 50th wedding anniversary. I got back yesterday (Mon)
evening and was looking forward to an easy day, low-key at work, to
fight off my jetlag. NOT.
This morning, 5AM, my cats were jumping all over the bed and me in it,
to get their furry butts to the window, they heard the noise before I
did, and they were all clearly distressed to hear something so
disturbing. It sounded like a dog in pain. I couldn't see a thing in the
street, but it was very close by. So I jumped in my clothes and ran out,
toward the noise, and found... a lost, wet and bedraggled puppy, scared
out of its wits, frantically wailing in fear, and with a hot, distended
tummy. Clearly he had just been dumped. I scooped him up and took him
home, where he was greeted by my 5 cats. They immediately recognized the
pup as "he who was in pain", and funny enough, none of them were
terribly bent out of shape by the arrival of the newcomer, who is their
size, after all -- for now (oh dear). Poke Chop and Booboo showed
concern for the new critter, they touched noses and gave him room to
move around the kitchen. Bigfoot, Shadow and Pumpkin were a bit more
reserved, and watched from the top of the microwave, fridge and kitchen
table as the puppy slobbered from their water bowl and gobbled up their
leftover kitty food. I immediately mobilized my friend Sue, wife of my
boss, hats off to her! (She's my friend who lost old man Jake and drew a
picture in his memory, URL to follow in separate email). Sue took a few
digital pix, and she and I drove around all morning to the local
shelters after the pup had gotten a brief checkup by my vet - normal
temp, but fleas and roundworms, so he got a wormer and Advantage (ow,
I'm sure my gang will be looking forward to that treatment too, just to
be on the safe side).
So far we're out of luck. Local shelters have about 30 day waiting
lists,
and a lot of places around here ar NOT no-kill. We may have a chance
with a privately run shelter this weekend, so we're giving this a
chance. Right now pup is staying in my bathroom, with a toy, chews, food
and water. I can walk him 2-3 times/day and he poops in the grass
(passing big roundworms, yuck, I hope they're dead already from this
morning's wormer). But he still piddles whenever he feels like it (3
times on my carpet sofar), and thank bast I have still saved Melissa
Kelly's kitty bath mat for future use, so doggy is free to destroy the
old cotton throw rug in the bathroom. This fella's gotta find a home,
and soon. I will be out of town from Aug 8 til 16 for a meeting, and
keeping doggy is not an option for me or my friend. We both have several
cats, cramped living quarters, and not enough free time to give full
attention to all the needs of an abandoned puppy with possibly a
traumatized past. So he really can't stay much longer at my place
without being really unhappy. He's dropping dying fleas now, so I
decided to keep him confined in the bathroom. He doesn't like being
alone in there, and every so often he starts a yelping concert, much to
the dismay of all of us, cats and humans. In the short time he's been
here I realize I need a puppy raising crash course 101. Got Pedigree
soft food for pups, a few small size chew bones, some treats and milk
bones. And a toy, a chewable "fleece-man". The toy does seem to calm him
down a bit. I turned off the light for the night, and hope he will nap
until early morning.
I put together a website page, and piggybacked it onto
http://www.huunhuurtu.com/abandonedpup.html

The kid looks like a chow/shepherd mix, and he definitely needs
training, and soon. He loves to chew on my fingers and toes, my shoes,
the fringes of the rug, and I hope the chew toys, hides, bones and all
that may distract him from chewing on other things for now. His teeth
are well developed already, so I would be really reluctant to leave him
around the cats without supervision while I'm off to work for 8 or so
hours.
I will also post this on the RAOTrescue yahoo group (responsible animal
owners of Tennessee) but anyone who has ties with dog rescue, please
feel free to send on at least the website link with the pic and my tel
and email info!
Thank you all in advance for any help and suggestions.
