Default Rescue Remedy

What is your experience with this product? How do you administer it? A
friend of mine wants to use it for a Jack Russel Terrier that is afraid
of the car. She won't spend the time to work with the pup to help him
overcome the fear...

I was not at all impressed with Rescue Remedy.

We use a product called Happy Traveler made by Ark Naturals. You can buy it
at some health food stores. You can also order it a little cheaper on-line.

It is a completely herbal product that is very effective.

We give it to our dogs before storms or anytime the dogs might hear
fireworks.

Me three. It's highly recommended by those with epileptic dogs,
so I tried it with Rocky. I saw no effect on his post ictal,
though it has worked with others.

I've heard of people giving Rescue Remedy to their dogs on a
regular basis. I hope that they're aware that it has an alcohol
base, though there is a formulation without booze.

I have a hard time believing that the miracle stories I
hear are not merely due to a placebo effect on the owners'
perceptions.

That's my suspicion also, and I've heard dozens of RR stories.

I've said before that I have no problem with many holistic
techniques, but homeopathic stuff like Rescue Remedy (and I
don't believe that RR really fits the definition) gets passed
from mouth to mouth to the point that it's not clearly defined
as to what it's really supposed to do.

There are people who give it to their dog on a regular basis as
some sort of panacea fergawdsake.
