I was actually feeding him Royal Canin before the switch...but I wont
be using anything else after hearing about Blue Buffalo.

The website for Blue Buffalo should answer your questions.

www.bluebuff.com

Looks like a marketing driven company using all the best possible
words to describe a food, like "human grade" which means absolutely
nothing. You could sell human sewage and call it human grade with
complete immunity. Hopefully the USDA will forge forward to actually
put some teeth in the use of this word. I notice the company provides
no analysis of the foods at all beyond what is minimally required by
law. No levels of phosphorus, calcium, vitamins, omega fatty acids
etc. I also notice the "vet" who is selling this stuff claims tons of
publications - but not a single one has ever been printed in a
recognized peeer reviewed veterinary journal. Maybe he slept in a
Holiday Inn Express once, who knows. He offers no credential in
nutrition whatsoever, has no MS in nutrition, and is not a member of
the American College of Veterinary Nutritionists. Who is actually
producing this food? Is it another private label product by Doans,
Diamond, CJ Foods, Martins or who? Looks like finge lunatic stuff to
me.

My thoughts, when I saw the packaging, was that it resembled Diamond's
logo.

I sent an inquiry to the company, hoping to be sent some samples.
They are only available thru PetsMart on the east and west coasts;
this puts us midwesterners sol. The company's correspondent did not
seize the opportunity to make this dogfood available to me, at all,
which I thought was odd.

Anyways...limited availability makes this product unavailable to me,
since I am not paying shipping on #600 per month from PetsMart's
website.
