Default It's true!

Remember a while back when I wrote about ELB's fictitious puppy that I
hoped he was talking about just to get under my skin? Well, it looks
like the puppy is quite real. When I spoke with him today, he was
telling me how adorable she is, how she needs to pee every two hours,
how she doesn't like it outside 'cause it is cold, etc. He's paper
training her (ICK!) so he wouldn't have to take her out at night, when
it is too cold. She's still young enough that she just curls up on his
lap and goes to sleep when he's in front of the computer. And it is a
very good thing that his roommate is currently home all the time, 'cause
he just worked a 70 hour week, and has to go to work tomorrow.

Too cold for the pup or ELB? I can't recall, does he live in an
apartment? If he does, I'll excuse the paper training,
otherwise no. Hell, I still accompany my dogs outside, no
matter what the time or the weather.

When I work weekends I take the dogs in with me, but I'm usually
the only one there.

I'm guessing ELB. Although, the most-likely-not-fictitious pup (named
Scheherazade, Schazzi for short) is a Boston, so it is possible that
she's cold as well. The thought never crossed his wee brane that he
could get a sweater for her.

He's in the 2nd floor of a house. In my book, that's no different from
our living arrangement, where our bedroom is on the 2nd floor, and we
have to to downstairs to take the dogs out. I vaguely remember him
telling me that dogs are not allowed at his place, and am afraid to ask
and confirm at this time.

Hell, I still accompany my dogs outside, no
matter what the time or the weather.

Same here. I don't even have a choice since we don't have a fenced
yard. Doesn't keep me from cussing the brute for waking me up at
ungodly hours and getting me to walk around with frozen toes, although I
really should be thankful that he is quite a fastidious dog.

When I work weekends I take the dogs in with me, but I'm usually
the only one there.

I suggested that to him, but he works for fancy-schmancy PWC in
Manhattan, and I'm sure that puppy poop/pee will be frowned upon severely.

My frozen toe seekrit is to have last year's sneakers (sans
laces) by the egress. I have time to slip them on even in urka-
gurka situations.

Gladly, my yard is fenced, so the dogs can precede me to their
special area.

If he doesn't smoke, ELB should take it up (or at least
pretend). He'll have an excuse to walk Gus (I'll call him Gus
because he apparently doesn't have a name) that's corporately
acceptable.
