I can only tell you what we recommend at our practice. We give our clients
the choice of HeartGuard tabs given once monthly by the owner at home, or
ProHeart-6 - a 6 month time release med given by injection once every 6
months by the vet.

As for fleas and tics we sell Advantage, Frontline and Advantix. Which
product depends on the pet's needs and the preference of the owner.

As long as clients are compliant with the flea and tic and heartworm
products, prevention should be successful (although never 100%.... but
close!).

There are opinions that vary widely on these products. Read up and talk to
your vet. The one thing we do not recommend is the OTC flea products. Good
