What are everyone's opinions on this breed, if any? I'm considering getting
one in the future due to my other half's interest in the breed.

AS with any dog make sure you have the time and energy to put into the pup.

I own a 7 month old Tri colour Atlas and he is stubborn, he eats anything
and everything, they are very very strong so you have to make sure they know
you are in charge, not them.

Make sure you get it from a good breeder and that the dogs all have good
personalities.

Aside from with you may hear, they are big sooks. At will sit and snuggle
for hours, he loves to play and is doing great at obediance, he is a bit
full on when playing with some other dogs, and my cat !!

he is great with children (i have a 19 month old niece and a 5 year old step
niece who love him) and i have only heard him bark when a car pulls up or
someone is at the door.
