However, until this point, none of us had realized that the VA trial is
scheduled to be held OUTDOORS.

Yikes! For some reason I thought it was in an indoor horse arena. No way am I
doing an outdoor trial in Feb. I worry about ice in that part of the state.

The judge for the trial (who sometimes practices with us) has contacted
the club for clarification on their plans if the ground is frozen, or there
is snow/ice, & if y'all are interested, I'll pass on what we find out.

Thanks for the heads up and please pass any info on. I'm really thinking so
much for my planned NADAC debut.

What is your season? We have agility year 'round, I only hear mention
of 'the season' on lists.

Heh. A "season" is basically whatever each person chooses- but many people
do their last trial in, say, November, take the deep winter off, then start
up again in Feb. or March.
And here in MD, there really *isn't* any NADAC agility that doesn't
require traveling in December and January. My club is having a "games" trial
in, IIRC, late Jan... I may not be in attendance, though.

I ... and won't run my dogs on carpet.

Good for you! I can't *imagine* running a dog on carpet- would be too hard
on MY legs and feet, let alone the dog's.

Yikes! For some reason I thought it was in an indoor horse arena.

That's what I thought, too. But the premium says "outdoors on grass/dirt,
rain or shine". What are they smoking??? "Rain or shine" in FEBRUARY?

Thanks for the heads up and please pass any info on. I'm really
thinking so
much for my planned NADAC debut.

There always the SCCC trial in Roanoke in March...it's a tad iffy as to
weather, but so far has always been decent. And my club is having that games
trial, INDOORS, the first weekend in March. :-)
