Just wanted to post and say that I'm thinking of you and Frankie.
Your fight doesn't sound so far from my fight for Sophie this past
year, but it sounds like you guys have managed to succeed where we did
not. All fingers and toes are crossed, and I hope that you and
Frankie and your family have many healthy months and years left
together. I am always so happy to hear that people and families (in
which I very much include our dogs are loving every minute of their
time together - there are too many people in this world that never
appreciate the water till the well runs dry, as the old saying goes -
and there is nothing I could be more thankful of than the fact that
Sophie and I made the best of every day that was allotted to us, even
while those days were far, far too few.

Until next update, Frankie sends his love. He's enjoying so

bliss.

that's because peanut butter *is* doggy bliss.

And it is snowing! What fun to watch Frankie in it!

i bet he's a hoot to watch play in it!

Last night he really enjoyed it. Today he's a bit slower, as
he has been since this whole thing came on. I'd be so happy
if he'd regain his full enthusiasm, but I'll take what I get
when I get it.

i'm glad to hear he's doing well. here's to continued
improvement!

If Frankie likes snow, Harlan recommends a good came of "Monkey

This is where you play with a stuffed monkey and bury it in the snow,
and then have the dog find it. Harlan usually watched where I put it,
then I have him me follow a few feet away before I released him to go
get it.

we play a similar game, but with an old, b0rken, oversized
"tennis" ball. i put the dogs in a down, then "hide" the
ball in either weeds or snow. then i release either both of
them or one of them go find it.

It was very fun. Perhaps Frankie would enjoy it. If he's not
toy oriented, perhaps some of those peanut butter treats
would engage his enthusiasm.

mmm. snowy peanut butter.

Oh, that's a great idea! Might try that!
I think the enthusiasm is hip related, so we're resting him a spell and then
are going to try introducing treats or mountain rescue!
