It was very fun. Perhaps Frankie would enjoy it. If he's not toy
oriented, perhaps some of those peanut butter treats would engage his
enthusiasm.

Oh, that's a great idea! Might try that!
I think the enthusiasm is hip related, so we're resting him a spell and then
are going to try introducing treats or mountain rescue!

DW and I are doing fine, though I find myself worrying all the time
about losing Frankie. We weren't ready for this sudden onset, but are
coping with it as best we can. We are enjoying as Montana recommends
the periods of normalcy with great gusto. I'm just hoping that there
are many many more months of normalcy. There might be; I just don't
know.

Believe me, I know exactly how this feels. I am encouraged by Frankie's
quick rebound, though.

Thanks, Kevin. We are too, even if our sensitivity meter needs reworking.

You know, if there *is* a purpose to bad things happening, I think that
would be it: to make us really really appreciate the good times.

Perhaps you are right. So for we've done (at least) two things differently:
(1) are less hesitant to give him that extra treat, and (2) are more
reluctant to get up if he is sleeping on our lap.

Wishing you, your wife, and Frankie all of the good times for you to
savor,

It means a lot to us, Kevin. Thanks.

that's because peanut butter *is* doggy bliss.

Oh, that's right. I think I forgot, even though it is in 72 pt. font in the
manual.

And it is snowing! What fun to watch Frankie in it!

i bet he's a hoot to watch play in it!

He's cute normally. He's irrestiable with snow on his furry face.

i'm glad to hear he's doing well. here's to continued
improvement!

Many thanks!

Just wanted to post and say that I'm thinking of you and Frankie.
Your fight doesn't sound so far from my fight for Sophie this past
year, but it sounds like you guys have managed to succeed where we did
not. All fingers and toes are crossed, and I hope that you and
Frankie and your family have many healthy months and years left
together. I am always so happy to hear that people and families (in
which I very much include our dogs are loving every minute of their
time together - there are too many people in this world that never
appreciate the water till the well runs dry, as the old saying goes -
and there is nothing I could be more thankful of than the fact that
Sophie and I made the best of every day that was allotted to us, even
while those days were far, far too few.

Thanks, Katie. I appreciate it so very much! So glad to hear that Sophie and
you lived courageously, and I'll take that model with me as Frankie and I
enjoy our time together. She sounds like she was a wonderful dog.
