It's extremely variable from dog to dog. When I took a pet
first aid course, it was suggested to make a note of such things
(respiration and heart rates, pupil dilation, etc.) when your
dog is healthy.

So, unless it's an emergency, ask your vet the next time you see
him.

32 seems a little high, but she could have been dreaming or in a more active
sleep mode. Mine vary from about 12 (the VERY calm one) to about 24 breaths
per minute.

When I had a dog with congestive heart failure, 60 and over was in distress
and they would be really happy with her under 40.

Could just be normal variation.
