I have only had one - that's ONE - drop out who asked for a refund since I
started in the new location. There are dogs who don't finish classes, and it's
usually the graduation class that they miss. (I can't understand that - they
do the work, they should make an effort to get the certificate!).

This guy dropped his bouvier puppy out of class after the 3rd session, and his
reason was that he was going to get a private trainer to come to the house. I
assume he was overwhelmed by the work he had to do himself with Floyd, and
thought he could avoid it with a private trainer.

Well, Floyd is back. :} I asked if the private trainer didn't work out, and
his owner mumbled something about having some medical problems. (Ah hah, found
out they had to work with him even in the private trainer scenario, I suppose.
:}

I'm very happy to see him back. He's a nice dog, well-socialized. He's in a
small basic class, with a GSD and a muttster I haven't met yet. During the
first class, I allowed the two attendees to play, and they did very well
together.

I'm thrilled, because now I have had NO drop outs in 4 months. And I'm happy
that they chose another one of my classes, so I can feel assured that *I*
wasn't the reason they dropped out in the first place.

(Well, I've had one other drop out. It was before class started, and the owner
realized she would have to relocate to another state. So I don't really count
that. :}
