Blade has condition called Fibrotic myopathy.

.........Apparently it's fairly common in horses. I'd check the latest info
for horses to see if they've found a remedy.
Scroll down to end of page. IIRC Vetalog is a steroid.
http://www.neosoft.com/~iaep/pages/p...j1812p816.html

Excellent overview of cause, prevention and GSDs:
http://www.acsma.org/sciart1a.htm

Myopathies in small animals in Braun's textbook at www.ivis.org
http://www.ivis.org/special_books/Br...r_frm.asp?LA=1

International Veterinary Acupuncture Soc annual conference schedule for Aug
20, 2003 lists 3 cases of fibrotic myopathy treated in quarter horses with
acupuncture
http://www.ivas.org/congress.cfm (It's in Brazil - you have a week to get
there! bg)

I gotta to, so if you want to page through more of this Google search enter
fibrotic myopathy, then do a search within results with dog. Went through 2
pages...

Other places to check are PubMed,
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/query.fcgi?db=PubMed
http://www.iknowledgenow.com/ INNO-VET http://www.inno-vet.com/index.html
