Here is the latest. It's now early Sat morning and I'm going to visit
him again.. Friday was a big day for us.. He ate for the first time
in a week and drank water... NO VOMITING

.......OK! Hope your pup gets to come home soon.
......If this turns out to be pancreatitis, he'll have to be on a low fat
diet, and as a vet once told me WRT a lab of mine - no people fat scraps and
no more eating June bugs!

Here's a pic of me and baxter http://www.sageamerican.com/mebax.jpg

......Haha! Hurry up and take that picture, he's gonna' drop me, I just know
it, hurry up!

......thanks for the update - these stories help people down the road when
they're looking for answers to their pet's health problems.

We are looking good. Baxter came home monday.. He was so excited to
come home.. The vet said try and keep him calm and relaxed... YEH
RIGHT... He more fired up than ever.. He did mellow out the next
day. He is looking good almost all stitches are disolved, he is
eating Hills Prescription I/D can right now.. Has some what loose
stool but seems to be getting better.. Still don't have a reason but
he needs to go back to the Vet on Tuesday so maybe the Vet will give
me some type of conclusion.. Thank you very much for all your
support.. It's so nice to have my boy back..

Thanks again
Phil

good news, you must be so happy! One thing I think about when dogs are ill
is this: sometimes people get sick, nauseated, vomiting, diarrhea, no
appetite...and nobody ever figures out what is wrong...just speculation
about virus or food poisoning or indigestion...my theory is that the same
thing can happen to a dog...sick as a dog for a couple of days, then perk
back up, get the appetite back, etc.
