There are some great shots of Rum on Victor Steele's website from the
Beltway Bandits tournament (range 51-79) www.victorsteele.biz. What
a cutie. In the same range there is one pic of Franklin on page 12 -
a very "reaching" box shot. Wonder what he did to turn from it

Some of these are too funny. My favorite is the Shar

Greater Swiss Mountain Dogs by
swissy4me
Just the other day, I had someone from this list contact me privately
concerning my up-coming swissy litter. I hope they see this and contact
me again, I somehow deleted the e-mail address.
To answer your questions: Yes, they are AKC champions, yes, they have
the health clearances you asked about...

BIS Westminster--the GSP by
Robin Nuttall
I admit that I think the Best lineup this year was stronger than it has
been in a number of years. There were a number of dogs I really liked
going in--the Bloodhound who won in FL, the Pyr, the Tibbie. Didn't
really think about the GSP. BC was eh--not my kind of dog. I just don't
get Pekes--it...

braindead
It seems that in this area at least (northeast Ohio), the classifieds are
flooded with people trying to sell pug puppies.. anywhere from $350-$600
most state AKC (as I understand it that's pretty meaningless really).
I'm just looking for a 'family pet', I'm of course watching the shelters

Nice article on working Siberians by
Melinda Shore
There's one person running Siberian Huskies in this year's
Yukon Quest. He's Blake Freking, who won last year's
Beargrease. Questions about working-type Siberians have
come up a few times recently, and the Yukon Quest website
just put up a nice article on Blake and his dogs that talks
a bit about...

Best dogbreed by
karahsunshine@sc.rr.com
What is your opinion of the best dog breed of these three,
Shih tzu
Japanese chin
maltese
Any owners of these breeds have advise. I work eight hour shifts and
need a dog that can entertain itself for that amount of time, as well
as be sweet and kind.

Illegal grooming at Westminster by
ANNE FROMM
Not sure how they "get away" with it. I am watching TV now --part 1 of
the show. I guess all the rules are made to be broken! Sorry, I don't
mean to sound flippant, but the shows are obviously getting too big to
supervise all of the pre-show activity. ~~~~ I wanted to ask if
anyone knows about...

Westminster/Placements by
Darby Wiggins
Newbie question.....
When watching shows on TV (in the group only) that usually only 4 dogs
are pulled out and "place". Is this true in the breed ring? On the
Westminster web page, and presumably at other shows, there are 4
placements in a breed. Best of Breed (BOB), Best of Opposite Sex...

"Run with the big dogs" by
yared22311@yahoo.com
Run with the big dogs
A splendid hunting dog with a lithe gait and a keen eye won the fabled
Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show on Tuesday night, licking 2,581 other
canines who would be king -- or queen, as the case may be.
