Yet another "What the heck is THIS dog?" post by Sionnach
http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/amberdogs1/album?.dir=/7d36 Medium- sized; height is approximately 21", weight... not sure, but no more than 45 lbs. Much more fine-boned than she appears in the pictures (look at the sitting shot in the truck). Double coated. Seems to have a fairly high prey drive...

AKC Registration Rule Interpretation? by lute--@aol.com
Under what circumstances can a litter be registered without the signature of the stud dog owner? Case in point: Co-owners dispute rights to the litter. Go to court. Eventually settle out of court. Both sign off on litter. Meanwhile, one of the co-owners gets into a fight with the stud...

What breed dog is recommended. by Reed
We are in our mid 50's with a 50'X 150' chain linked fenced back yard. We take walks around the neighborhood about every day that is nice. Looking for a dog 15-25 lbs that doesn't shed much. Short hair preferable. Would like a fairly calm dog and hopefully one that won't dig under the fence since...

Maltese with potty problems by guardmouse13
I have a 10 month old maltese who I have had some problems house training her. I moved a couple times within the first 2 months I owned her but for the last 6 months we have been at the same place. I have always tried to get her to use pee pads since I live in an apartment in a city. She is usually...

Fancy, 1991 - 2005 by AndreaS
Farewell sweet girl. You'll be missed. Just a reminder to everyone, _any_ dog can get bloat. Fancy was not a huge eater, did not gulp her food and did not, at 14 years of age, do a lot of running around before or after eating. Or at all. Though I suppose Ibizan Hounds might be considered deep...

SPCA killing dogs? by Dunkel Kennels
Is this really possible that SPCA put down 56 dogs from a breeder's yard without even trying to save the dogs' lives? How stupid can SPCA be? People here in Europe are truly shocked over news like this. More detailed info at http://www.helpfloyd.org Dunkel -- *** SUPPORT FLOYD BOUDREAUX -...

Friday Four by Rocky
Friday turned four on March 22nd. Most of us here have a hard time understanding how our dog got that old that fast, and I'm no exception. It was just yesterday that I took Friday (nee Jade) on a one day daytrip from his foster home. He was 7 months old. This week, when I mentioned to agility...

Are Grt Danes good protectors? by Luke
As you can see from the title my question is do Great Danes make good home protection companions or are they more of the companion than protector? I guess I have always thought of them as clumsy uncoordinated giant puppies. Am I wrong? Are they more agile and athletic than that? Please let me know...

Dog put down :-( by Pete
I am really down today. I saw a dog on Petfinder.com. It was turned into the NYC pound, and they put it down within just three days! It was over five years old, but would have been perfect for me. It was a beautiful GSD which was house trained. :-(
