bruising on tummy by Brandy's Garden
Hi, I have a 4 year old Wolf hybrid. About 2 weeks ago I noticed a bruise across her tummy. Today I discovered it now covers her entire tummy as well as spots on her thighs and her back/hip area. Does anybody know what this might be? I'm very worried about her. Thanks Brandy

getting Frontline Plus via the internet by MauiJNP
Has anyone ever had success with ordering Frontline Plus over the internet? The price just seems so much better. I know my vet would have a coronary if she knew (I only ever bought it at the vet) but I am considering getting it from Petedge.com Anyone ever use petedge.com or another website for...

Lumps under dog's fur by meeohmi
Recently my 7 month old pitbull developed these hard, pea-sized bumps under her fur. They don't seem to be causing her any discomfort and don't have and scabs, pus or hairloss. At first, there were only about a dozen on her shoulder. Two days later, they seemed to be getting better, but the next...

Finding out bladder stone type by clorenzo@eutelsat.fr
Hi all, Our 11-year old male springer spaniel was diagnosed a 1/2" bladder stone some months ago. It was asymptomatic (it came out in a sonogram for a different problem) and a urine test didn't tell what type it was. Nevertheless, the vet recommended one of the special diets to try to dissolve it...

Lump on leg by White Monkey
Saskia (2-year-old Great Dane) has a rock-hard lump on her leg, the back leg just above the ankle on the outside. We were just at the vet's and have an x-ray scheduled for Thursday. The vet said the biggest likelihood is a ganglion cyst, but we need to rule out stress fracture and bone...

Post castration complications by RJ
I recently had my ten year old standard poodle castrated as a vet examine raised the serious concern of a testicular tumor. Operation was success and no cancer was found. Now he has developed "significant scar tissue" in the scrotum (it visually looks like he has regrown a testicle), that my vet...

Is purina puppy chow bottom of the line dog food? by mcguirk
I recently got a pembroke welsh corgi puppy. We started feeding her purina puppy chow and she loves it. I took her to the vet the other day to get her checked out and update some shots and the vet said switch to purina one because puppy chow is bottom of the line. So I bought a small bag...

Citric acid in dogfood as a risk for gastric torsion (bloat)? by lolajoker@webtv.net
I resently read a Purdue University study that says if a dog that is suseptible to bloat (large deep, chested breeds) eats a dry dogfood that has citric acid in it, it has a 320% increased chance of bloat. It also says that dry food with citric acid should never be premoisted with water. Does...

Feeding my starving dog by kayla
I have a 2 year old sheltie that I just can't fill up. She acts like she is starving and was a bit on the heavy side so I put her on light Propet-- 2/3 cup a day. She has slimmed down and now back to regular Propet and I give her beans or other cooked vegetables as a filler. Since I'm doing that...
