cutting too much of a dogs nail by
MauiJNP
I accidentially cut too much of Maui's nail (I was even using a clipper with
a guard). Anyway, it started to bleed and I got pretty scared. I don't
have that stopper stuff so I called the emergency clinic number my vet's
answering service gives. The guy who answered at the clinic told me to...

Dog Digging holes by
Joshuall
I know that's what dogs do. But now I have two of them and they are turning
my back yard into what looks like a detonated land mine field. Anyway to
discourage the puppies from doing that. Seems my beagle who cold smell an
earthworm or a grub from fifty miles is the mastermind behind it all....

Litter box by
Lucky Whip Flip
Diddy:
Congrulations on the impending litter. Did you use frozen semen, or is
the stud dog actually 15 years old (in which case...wow for longevity
and viability!).

The number of dogs registered per state. by
PGerringer@gmail.com
A friend and I were just talking about the various diseases his new GSD
can aquire. We were able to find hard numbers of stuff like rabies and
heartworms in the area but have no "total" to compare it to. For
example, 137 cases of rabies in an area populated by 150 dogs is a
staggering number when...

Dry Skin by
wendy
I have a 3 year old Chihuahua! He is in general very healthy except
that the skin on his belly is a bit dry. I have tried feeding him
Science Diet and now he is on Eukanuba. But his skin is still dry.
Could it be the dog food that is making him dry? Is there another dog
food that I should feed...

Dog food for a tiny dog by
Big Phil
Our little dachshund, Trixie, finds that the Nutro Max mini-chunk food
we have been giving her is too big. I don't think Nutro Max doesn't
make anything smaller. Can anyone recommend a food that is good for the
dog but comes in a size this little one will be able to handle?

I've just discovered a lump on the back of my dog's neck. I'm certain it
was not there yesterday and appears to have appeared quite suddenly. It's
about the size of a golf ball but doesn't appear to be attached to anything.
I'm taking him to the vet in the morning, but I'm worried and wonder what...

Dog has Bone Cancer by
Rocky
"George" said in
rec.pets.dogs.health:
Our Vet mentioned there is a clinic in New York City that
can do surgery, replace bone in the joint. The operation is
very expensive $9,000 to $10,000 US.
Have you discussed amputation with your veterinarian?

Question - Please Help by
M0stro
A couple of weeks ago I took in a dog I found that someone had chained
outside. A less than a year old minpin chihuaha mix ( I think). The dog
seemed very upbeat just very thin, so I get him home and get him bathed and
de-ticked, yes, he was infested with ticks. (Some people will be rude to...

Advantix and Mood Change by

We have a 7 month old golden retreiver pup and when we give him his
monthly Advantix for flea and tick, for a good 24 hours, his mood
completely changes ... wants to be by himself, hides under tables,
chairs, etc. Basically, he becomes a completely different "person."
Has anyone else had similar...
