My Megan Died last night by
Tom Lacombe
Megan was a 3 yr old sweet heinz 57, full of energy until a week ago.
She had started licking a place on her right rear foot a couple of
weeks ago. I took her to the vet last Wed. My complaint was my dog
being listless, and the foot. They x-rayed the foot ( no break) and
gave me some ointment,...

supplement question by
CCDOX
I home cook (Strombeck diet) for my dog and use Nupro with each meal. My
question is whether I should give additional salmon oil and/or vitamin E or if
the Nupro (along with the sardines in the diet) supply enough EFAs and vitamin.
TIA

Mouthing Puppy by
CCDOX
use enough "force" to discourage him, without
hurting the puppy.
I have found that a method that works is to jerk your hand away while "yelping"
(saying "ouch" in a sort of high pitched tone). After doing this 2 or 3 times,
my pup stopped mouthing me. It's also a good way to teach a dog to...

Best Place on Dog's Body to Inject Insulin by
Don F
I have been giving injections (twice daily) for two years, to my 9 year
old beagle. My vet instructed me for 1/2 hour on the procedure which used
the loose skin area on the neck to do the injection.
My son's beagle will be starting to receive injections and his vet says
the neck area is the...

I have a miniature schnauzer/shi-tzu mix that is getting to the bottom of

getting a new food. I am currently on IAMS Lamb meal and Rice.
He seems a bit skinny to me. I can feel his spine and the top of
his hips pretty easily, so...

Nearly a week ago my German Shepherd had a bit of an upset stomach and
stopped eating his regular dry meals but kept his normal "eat everything I
can" appitite and was reluctant to go for walks but still loved to play in
the back garden. At first I thought he had had a bad batch of food...
