Achilles Tendon repair? by
Michelle Givens
Hey, everybody,
Has anyone had experience with surgical repair of an Achilles Tendon?
My young field trial prospect has either partially or entirely severed
his Achilles Tendon (we're waiting for the surgeon to call back to
schedule the surgery). I'm going to a great surgeon, but would be
very...

Rimadyl by
Mark/Shell
Hi,
My BC has is slightly dysplacstic, today the vet has put him on Rimadyl for
10 days as he's a touch stiff on his legs. It's the 2nd time he's been on
it, last time was about 10 months ago and was just for a short time. To me
it seems like a wonder drug, it seems to completely take away the pain...

Methionine overdose advisory by
JustDogs
Be advised that if you are giving dl-Methionine (Methionine) to your dog or
cat, keep the product in a safe location to avoid any possibility of an
overdose. Also do not routinely over medicate your pet.
Methionine is used to prevent lawn burns by neutralizing the acidity of the
animal's...

Panic Attacks by
Rocky
Tara O. said in rec.pets.dogs.health:
It sounds like these could be seizures rather than panic
attacks. Seizure disorders (epilepsy) won't show up on
tests unless the dog is seizing at the time.
Some sort of seizure disorder is possible but, at 10 years old,
it would probably be related to...

Heat and Cold by

To All,
We have a dog that has been a member of the family for almost
ten years. He is an outdoor dog and does not come in the house
except on rare occasions. We have two cats that get along all
right with the dog, sort of you leave me alone and I'll leave
you alone. They have a small pet door and...

Opinions on Dog Food by
Markeg
I need a good reccomendation on premium dog food. My 2 yr old Sheltie just
got tired of Canidae. He's been eating it for about a year. He usually
gets bored with food in 8-12 months.
I am trying California Natural but it might be too rich for him. His stools
are a little loose.
Any...

Dylan update by
FurPaw
We had Dylan (GSD, age 9) at the vet's yesterday for her
three-month cancer check. The really good news is, no sign of a
recurrence (it was discovered nearly two years ago).
The not so good news is that her hip dysplasia has gotten worse,
to the point where we may need to consider surgery. (We...

"Stinking Dog!" by
kcchin
I have a very lovable active, highly intelligent Jack Russel.
It is very healthy and active and seemingly a very nice coat of
fur. It has a free range of a few
hundred square feet of garden to run around, and free access into the house
and her favourate sleeping beanbag.
She is as nice as I would...

Luke's eating again! Thanks to all! by

Especially you, Buglady.
I did as you suggested; I sat down with him and talked to
him about the move, (I don't mind telling you I felt more
than just a bit silly.) I made sure the two of us were alone.
:)
I took him in the bedroom and shut the door with just the two
of us and talked to him about...

bacteria, clostridium. he prescribed amoxicillin and a smooth muscle
relaxant, which seemed to work. near the end of his treatment, my 1 y/o
