Need advice. My dog is dying by
dave
Night before last he went blind. Noticed his eyes were completely red when
they used to be brown. I took him to the vet yesterday and the blood test
showed he had no platelets in his blood. The vet said his eyes were full of
blood. Small spots of blood on the tip of his tongue. The vet also...

I'm from Alabama by
Shih Tzu Mom
I own nine dogs and four cats. I am from Alabama and I am one of many
people in this state that take care and love their pets as well as
other animals! Not everyone here is A CRUEL, UNEDUCATED, BACKWOODS,
HUNTING, HILLBILLY, TOOTHLESS REDNECK THAT LIVES FOR NASCAR. Can't
cruel, uneducated (and even...

California's AB 1634 IS DEAD! by
Texas2SF@aol.com
I never did get a chance to spread the word which is good for Me, and my
little Tico!
That pending law that would have forced me to neuter my little Tico,
against my will, failed in the California Senate. I get to legally keep
him "ALL Male, with his Balls", just in case, if I ever find him a...

Hip problems by
SteveB
My Lab/Rott and Corgi both have tender hips. I am giving them glucosamine
and aspirin in the recommended doses. I'm about out of both. The aspirin
is a dog variety, with a dog label. Same with glucosamine.
I need to replenish the supply. Is there anything I should know about
glucosamine...

Ole Blue by
Dave in Lake Villa
Blue, my friend and companion. I've always been a cat person and a
dog seemed like an insult. My wife bought him a sweater/jersey of my
favorite team and on game day he started jumping up on my lap at game
time. I was sold... Any dog that liked the Cowboys can't be all bad!
I started walking Blue...

Dog Food Secrets Review by
ashley ross
Growing up in a family comprised of a science professor, multiple
registered nurses, and a surgeon, nutrition and health were always
common topics at the dinner table.
As a lifelong dog owner interested in dog health and longevity I was
curious to find out what Andrew Lewis had to say about the...

Dog breeders who deserve the worst possible fate. by
stately
I usually devote my SNAPS Of The Month "award" to some domeless celeb
making a public fool out of him- or herself. But the just-updated
page has a July nominee that should get (fellow) dog lovers boiling
mad. I am, frankly, STUNNED this story didn't get big national
attention...and that it...

Wanted to check first, as I have some questions. I love my dog, but
sometimes he's a challenge.

Rawhide treats? by
Peetie Wheatstraw
I've been feeding rawhide strips (1 per nite) to my 11-yr-old
Brittany for years. Always thought "It's natural rawhide. Couldn't
hurt anything."
Currently NutriPlan Munchy Strips. About 3/4 x 6 ". I've watched her
eat a zillion: she bites off a 1/2 " or so, chews, and swallows,
repeats, repeats....

My dog is limping by
Dave in Lake Villa
My dog is limping horribly on her left leg. She only started this a
few hours ago. She hasn't shown any sign of pain,in fact she wanted to
play. I felt her leg but she didn't show any signs of being
hurt...what could be causing her limp? A sore leg? She is a beautiful
tri color Chihuahua. I posted...

Bay Area Boston rescue needs a little help. by
grinder@oh-yoohoo.edu
Linda at Bay Area Boston Rescue gives it her all to rescue Bostons in
Northern California. We cannot say enough about her conscientious efforts
to place Bostons in good homes. But this year her expenses far exceeded
adoption fees. This is an e-mail she sent to her supporters. Please...

How to deal with a jumping dog by
jay.cmpbll@gmail.com
Jumping is a really common problem among dogs - or should I say among
dog owners? It’s rarely a problem for the dogs themselves – in fact,
jumping seems to act as a reward in itself. It’s a different kettle of
fish for the exasperated owner, who’s forced to deal with a new set of
muddy...
