Dog sacrificed for medical sales demonstration by
Paul E. Schoen
I got this link from "The Scientist". There are some interesting opinions
voiced in the comments following the article:
http://www.the-scientist.com/news/home/42203/
Certainly I don't condone the senseless and cruel use of dogs or other
animals for research and testing, and it seems even more...

6 month old Shih Poo by
kellyadurand@gmail.com
5 days ago, our 6 month old shih-poo had surgery to remove 17 teeth in
her mouth. Included in the 17 teeth removed were baby teeth that had
not yet fallen out, some adult teeth to reduce crowding, and 2 deformed
molars on the lower jaw.
After 3 days of recovery and seemingly doing a lot better,...

Itchy 9 yr old yellow lab by
swolfe
Our 9 yr old yellow lab has developed itchy, scabby sores on his back,
sides, and belly. We have had him in Science Diet Light dog food for
about a year. When we took him to the vet, he didn't think it was
ringworm, gave him a shot of something and antifungal shampoo. The dog
is a large lab,...

Vet operated on wrong area by
Ginny
In December I took my 9 year-old Jack Russell bitch to the vet to have a raised area on her lower belly looked at that looked a little unusual. It was about the size of a dime and a little pink. My vet said that at her age I could expect things like the small fatty tumor on her breast bone area,...

Chattering Teeth by
Suja
Khan was taken to the vet for a suspected UTI on Wednesday. He was licking
himself a lot, asking to go out more frequently than he usually does, and I
noticed that he was dribbling a little urine if say, I'm brushing him in
that area (and he wants to clean up, which might explain the licking). ...

these diseases. My 12 year old Schipperke/PomX is in slow heart failure
but now has the added burden of a severly collapsed trachea. It's a sad
race to see which gets him first. If you've had any experience with
either,...

Dog died by choking while seizing by
angelagrysn@gmail.com
Yesterday I came home from work to find my 14 year old Sheltie dead,
with a dress of mine that was lying on the floor down her throat. I
have no other explanation other than she had a seizure, and maybe
started chewing on the dress, uncontrollably swallowing it. She had
been having seizures daily...
