Dog has incontinance and red rash around genitals. Any ideas? by
~~ Shelly ~~
Our approximately 8 mos. old dog will be going to the vet on Monday, but I'm
hoping to get more info here on her possible problems so I can make the vet
appointment more productive.
OK, we got a six-week old female from the local pound last November. At the
time she seemed calm, friendly, and...

Update on Jazzy by
~~ Shelly ~~
Jazzy is getting her meds (for UTI) as ordered with a dollop of yogurt, and
is doing well. Tonight I noticed her rash is definitely clearing, but she
also had a tiny leak on carpet just before I checked the rash. She seems,
as always, happy, friendly, interested, and playful, so I'm pretty...

Results of Jazzy's vet visit by
~~ Shelly ~~
Took Jazzy to the vet this morning. Couldn't get a urine sample out of
her - I think she seriously questioned my sanity as I followed her around
the yard with whipped cream container and kept trying to stick it under her
every time she squatted... I'm also not sure I want to know what the...

Cognitive disorder by
~Karen~[_2_]
I am either second guessing the past here or preparing for the future
with my present dog. I just went through this with our border x who
lived to 16.5 yrs old. She died in early March of this year. I have a
13.5 yr old wire-haired fox terrier who is mentally active and alert
presently. He...

Low Fat Food by
~Florida Girl~
Hope someone can help. I have been told by the vet that I "must" get
my dog on some low fat food and the prescription stuff they sell at the
vets is way too expensive for me. Has anyone else had this problem and
have a brand they can suggest? I have been trying to read all the
labels but really...

Cushing's Disease by
~*LiveLoveLaugh*~[_2_]
My 15 and a half y.o. Basset Hound has the early signs of Cushing's disease.
He saw the vet a week ago today. An official test has not been done yet,
but the initial signs of frequent drinking (a lot), frequent urinating (gets
me up a few times during the night now), and his back legs shake...

Constipation in shih tzu by
~ Bill ~
We have a 6 mo old pup and it seems she gets constipated quite a bit. We
have tried a variety of things to help her including giving her baby
prunes in her food and sitz baths to relieve her.
Any suggestions?
thanks Bill

In Heat by

My dog turned one in July and she just went into season for the first time. I've heard/read many different things about how long it lasts, etc.
I would just like to know how long the bleeding will last for. Thanks in advance.

Black speck on eye? (Puggle Pei) by
_
Hi,
My 8 month old puggel pei (pug, beagle and shar pei) has always had a
dark spot in the iris of his right eye.
In the last day or so I have noticed what looks like a black speck of
dirt on the same eye. It is different from the first dark spot. The
first one appears to be down in the iris, but...
