Old dog lump? by
Rocky[_2_]
On Monday (Nov 24) I found a big unconnected pliable lump back
of Friday's right shoulder. I figured (hoped) for an old dog
fatty lump, and that's what everyone else who had older dogs
with lumps figured, too.
Friday went to the vet today, and she knew exactly where it was
located before...

why do dogs eat their own vomit? and more by
MauiJNP
Maui has thrown up most of what he's eaten for the past 2 days. Sometimes,
he tries to eat it. Other times, he just walks away from it. What is the
best thing to do when he throws up? Let him eat it? Make him leave it?
Also, what is the healthiest thing to do as far as food goes. Do I...

ctops.legal
This has just showed itself and as the video shows it's a soft (not
hard) growth just under and to the right of the bottom of the tongue
I'm hoping the cost to get it lanced will not be so high that we wont
have any choice but to euthanize the dog, anybody seen this ?

Congestive heart cough by
Puddin' Man
What does the infamous congestive heart cough sound like when it's just getting
started?

allergies. Heart murmur, on 5mg Enalapril, twice daily. Otherwise very
healthy and moderatively active.
Many Brits have a funny...

Shih tzu by
Mr Pounder
About 10 weeks old, male and quite bright. We look after him whilst his
owners are at work
When he wees on the floor the owners use the firm voice etc which is not
working.
I prefer showing the puppy the wee and a "slap". I do not enjoy doing this
but it has worked on all of the puppies we have...

Sentinel & Liver failure ? by
tom mitchell
Sadly I am going to lose my second dog to liver failure. While the
circumstances and symptoms are different, I am worried that there is a
link with respect to food, environment or medicine.
One thing that both dogs have had in common is that they have been on
the monthly Sentinel program to...

Bump On Dog's Eyelid by
Ulysses
My Golden/Border Collie mix has a bump on her eyelid near the outer/upper
edge of her eye. Do dogs have tear ducts in that location? It looks like a
clogged duct or some kind of infection. It does not seem to bother her but
it looks like it should be a bit uncomfortable. I could not find...

Hi Kathy,
My 12 year old kelpie x has suddenly developed muscular facial atrophy on his left side as well :(
This happened within a week or a few days - we have seen both normal and holistic vets. At first they thought Masticatory Muscle Myositis, but because he has no problem eating and moving...

How cold is too cold? by
Kdf
Here is my question:
What is your experience with the weather and beagles? How cold is too cold
for a beagle to be comfortable outside for a couple nights at a time? We
have a insulated dog house (with heavy door flaps) that is elevated and
under a covered porch. That dog house also has a...

Congestive heart failure - Tracey by
Jo Wolf
Tracey, the management you describe for your family's dog reflects
hepatic (liver) failure. The dog may Also have chronic heart
failure.... But Alopurinal reduces the ammonia in the circulating
blood, one of the jobs normally done by a healthy liver. In heart
failure, the extra fluid is in the...

A cold? or what by
Chloe's Mom
I think Chloe may have her first cold. I've never had an animal with a
cold, that I can recall. But this past weekend I noticed that in he middle
of the night, she'd wake up, have a sneezing fit, then shake her head
(flapping ears makes alot of noise) then sneeze some more before settling
down...
