vaccine schedule / Dodds question by
MauiJNP
What vaccines/boosters schedules do others follow? Maui had his "puppy
shots" and then a one year booster of rabies and DHPP (no lepto). His
rabies shot is good for 2 years according to the vet but she recommended
getting the others done yearly (DHPP, no lepto). I thought I remembered a

**** Tzu (11 weeks) Swallowed RawHide by
Clipzz
I recently bought my two Shih Tzu pups a raw hide slipper. During an
eventful tug of war they had with the slipper, a lace got torn off.
It's approximately 1/4" wide and 2 " long. One of the pups sucked the
lace down before i could get to her. This has happened close to 14
hours ago. So far her...

My lab sheds excessive amount of hair. by
[email protected]
I have a Lab/Newfoundland mix . Every day i sweep up off the hardwood
floors a big ball of hair. I even use the shed blade several times a
week. It doesn't seem to cut down on the shedding. I feed him Nutro
canned food and Nutro dry with a little safflower oil for his coat. A
friend mentioned it...

with the chewing (Just need to replace the carpet again...) but I'm
getting increasingly frustrated at not being able to exercise the pup
like my other dogs.

Tibetan Terrier Problem by
John
Hi,
We have two Tibetan Terrier dogs both inherited from our daughter 5 years
ago.
One of them, 10 years old, has always had a cough which appears that he has
either catarrh or something stuck in his throat, he even had this when our
daughter had him. Sometimes it is quite persistent. We have had...

buttered capsules by
Lynne
Thank you to whoever it was who mentioned that they butter pills before
giving them to their dog (Mustang Sally, was that you?). Roxy's DES
capsules are hard for her to swallow and they sometimes get stuck in her
throat. I put a thin coat of butter on her dose tonight and it went right
down! ...

Mild ACL tear maintenance advice needed by
[email protected]
My three year old Rottweiler was diagnosed with a (hopefully, it seems)
mild ACL tear today. He's a 150 pound fellow, (his father was 150, mom
120), though he's all muscular and fit. Our best estimate is that it
came from cornering whilst running at the park (he doesn't show much in
terms of...
