Coat Color Related Question by
Suja
I've been chewing on this a bit, and finding no logical answer.
How and why are "acceptable" colors within a breed established? I
understand the necessity to specify that some colors are DQ due to potential
color linked health problems (like problems with breeding merles and
piebalds). But what...

Robin Nuttall
For the first time in 4 years, I have a dog going into the breed ring.
For the first time ever, I have an actual handler taking said dog into
the ring.
Zipper is entered in Burlington, IA this weekend (1 or 2 points). Then
he goes to Kansas City next week for four straight days of Majors.
I'm...

deadly dog flu? by
Margaret
Has anyone heard about a "deadly dog flu" virus that has killed a couple of
dogs that were at the Virginia or Canfield shows recently?
Any information would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Margaret

The old lady gets one more... by
Robin Nuttall
Title that is. Viva finished her Open Tunnelers title last weekend. For
those of you who don't know agility, or NADAC agility, that's a class of
tunnels only--no jumps. NADAC has a Veterans designation, but they don't
allow it for Tunnelers, so in order to Q the old dogs have to compete...

so glad to see somebody with 32 breeding dogs churning out "rare" and
"unique" pups for $1500 a shot.
Did anyone see anything re. any health checks? I skimmed over both websites
and didn't see any mention of health clearances.

Dog Goes Nuts Over Loofa Dog by
frank1492
Has anybody else had this experience? My Shih Tzu goes absolutely nuts
over his Loofa Dog! He has all kinds of toys but this one is in a
special class.
Has anyone else observed this phenomenon with their dogs? I
wondered if there might be some sort of dog-nip or something in them
smile.

flatcoat retriever - droopy eyes? by
Mike
We are the new owners of a beautiful flatcoat retriever puppy. Something
concerns me though, and that is his eyes. We've never had a flatcoat
before, so we're not sure what is typical for the breed. Sometimes when he
looks up you can see the red lower inner eyelid (a bit like a bloodhound)...
