Puppy play biting or aggresion? by
eddie

Last week, i adopted a puppy from my local animal shelter. He was a stray
lab/terrier mix that was about 8 weeks old when he was brought into the
shelter. No one knows how long he had been on his own. I noticed when
handling him in the shelter that he had no bite inhibition. (His...

Query, bicycle riding and dogs running beside by
cshenk
Hi,
Anyone doing this and any specific pitfalls to look for (other than
obviously the dog has to run straight and either leash-free or slack leash).
I couldnt go at 'speed' with Cash (he's not allowed to) but if I just lazed
along, it would work? Start with Charlotte jogging him on leash and...

Strange sleeping habit by
Tess
This might sound silly, but is there any harm in my collie sleeping in
the toilet of a night? He just loves sleeping in there for some reason
but I'm worried the cold floor is bad for his joints? The toilet is
right outside my room...

Arjen Jongeling, een oude bekende by
Arjen Jongeling

dog-related car questions (again) by
Cate
Am selling my gas hog Jeep in favor of a newer used car. Please help.
Every time I think I've narrowed my choices, I find something else that
might work. I'm thinking in terms of wagons but would consider small
SUVs like the Honda Element or CRV.
Of great importance is the car's ability to hold...

torture chamber stuff for dogs! by
gswork
being relatively new to dog ownership my eyes have been opened to a
whole range of 'products' out there that seem positively evil!
choke chains, nasty sprays, prisons (aka crates), electric shock stuff
and more besides!!
Why on earth would anyone own a dog and then subject it to that kind
of...

new laws for docking tails by
elrond
It has been many years since the breeds of work and show dogs have had their
ears and tails docked. Where it all began, in Europe, possibly other
countries. There are many changes in attitude of our environment,
especially towards global consciousness, it is no surprise that the time has
come to...

I just bought a Nikon CoolPix L22 camera ($99 at Walmart) and tried it out

Angelic dog; Satanic cat by
Charlie Wilkes
I found this cat in the middle of the road in the middle of the night
bleeding from his eyes, ears and nose. He had been one of the cats
living in a huge livestock barn adjacent to where I found him.
I put him in a cardboard box and brought him home. He recovered and
has not left the house...

Lucky successfully disintacted by
Paul E. Schoen
Today (Monday) Lucky was uneventfully neutered, and is now spending the
night at the home of an older couple who have a spayed Lab, also rescued
from the streets. I have not met them, but my friend says they are very
nice people, and absolutely dog lovers. Lucky may very well charm her way
into...
