Time Bomb Ticking by
~misty
This holiday week-end I had the joy of playing with 3 baby PitBulls. They
were so sweet and incredibly cute!
But, referencing my subject line, they are all females. And the owner is a
bit on the clueless side.
First he bought from a BYB extraordinaire. "He had 15 generations worth of
photos."...

Some questions regarding pets and cockers and cockapoos. by
ShowYourKnee
I am going to make a few suppositions here. Before I do that, hello,
everyone who reads this, I'm a somewhat newly wed dude (if a year and 3
months still qualifies as newlywed; seems like it's been a bit longer)
who, along with my wife, am looking for a puppy to call our own. I'll
be honest. We...

!st Night with a puppy by
Chief Tecumseh
Anticipatiing our first night with a puppy I suspect it will be hard
for it missing its Mom and siblings. We plan to put it in our family
room and I thought I'd spend some time with it to avoid the crying but
my wife thinks I'm spoiling it and it will want company every night .
Am I being too soft...

Now *that's* a mix by
Debbie the Dogged
Met today at the local farmer's market: an adorable 12 week old rescue
whose mother is a Border Collie - daschund mix and father a lab-
sheepdog-of-some-sort mix. Border collie colouring, lab head, border
collie ears, dachie body and not-quite-dachie-but-close legs. Very
friendly and very high...

Grooming and Miniature Schnauzers by
Pete Ham
Is it necessary to have a mini schnauzer groomed so they have their
beards or is it ok to crop their heads and leave the rest of the body
have a full bunch of hair. We are thinking of getting a mini and my
wife doesn't like the look of a mini although she likes the other
aspects of the breed.

Crate vs No Crate need some advise by
Chief Tecumseh
We will be getting a mini Schnauzer sometime in mid-July and need some
proactive advice. Is using a crate the best way to train a puppy. I
find it a bit cruel to put him in cell like crate. Any advice would
be appreciated.
Thanks

Housebreaking a beagle!! by
J&T
Hi,
Does anybody have any suggestions on how to housebreak a beagle puppy? We
were told by the vet to take the papers away and bring her outside. So far
that hasn't worked at all! I bring her outside stay out there for about
15 - 20 minutes, come back in and bang, she does it inside. Is it...

Is this group psycho? by

I'm trying to get balanced advice and it seems I've entered a newsgroup
at war. Can't you guys get along or respect each others opinions?
Once you begin name calling it deflates any substance you may have.
An old saying I try to go by is "Rather than raise your voice,
reinforce your...

Big MISTAKE!!! by
Janet B
So be warned, always get something in writing or somekind of GUARANTEE!!!!!
And be prepared financially for more than purchase price and
vaccinations. Had you budgeted in SPAY? Living month to month of
what care you can afford to give is risky.
Emergency funds are always wise, even if it's...

Looking for home for Bichon Frise pup by
starbucked
Hello all,
I have a female Bichon Frise pup, born Feb 9th. She is very sweet,
learns quick and is partially potty trained. I got her for my other dog
who was lonely after losing her pal to old age. She is so little and my
dog plays a little rough with her. I have them separated for the time
