MJS
Several years ago my now 9 year old cocker spaniel was prescribed Metacam
for minor arthritis . Metacam is apparently the drug of choice by vets for
this condition. Bigger profit margin than on aspirin!!!. Several months
ago, she started to be very lethargic and was not eating well. I changed...

Loss of pigmentation around mouth by
[email protected]
Thanks for your input. My Malinois bitch has developed the same thing. Plus her lips and gums have become swollen and red. Well, she has become enamored with a Jolly Ball with large holes which she carries around. I'll take it away now and find something else for her to abscess over. Thanks again.

Lab swallowed a sponge!? by

It sounds like to your dog it hold the items that hold your personal scent, most potently, as it's highest valued item. You either have to find something to replace it by finding a particular item the dog finds more interesting and trade it. Or give them a negative connection in the dogs mind. I...

If you have access to Amway products, try using LOC. It is very

dog shampoo (it doesn't get really sudsy unless you get the high suds

MY LOVING LHASA APSO AND DIABETES by

I feel compelled to share my story about having to put my best friend
for eleven years, a 29 pound female lhasa Apso to sleep. I bought her
from a respectable breeder when she was six months old and weighed 22
pounds. She was big for her breed and people thought she was a Tibetan
terrier..
She...

Nasal/Digital Hyperkeratosis by
Debra Axelson
My four year old Lab developed this condition at about age 1. The Vet suggested it may respond to the addition of Zinc suppliments, which I've been giving since (50mgs daily). This past winter the nose has been far worse, possibly aggrevated by 1. dog sleeping near heater. 2. dog sticking head out...

The condition is called vitiligo and is harmless but you can have your dog checked over if it puts your mind at rest,it just means the pigment in the skin changes, example from black/brown to pink.
