Being with dogs without owning one by
JoHunter
My husband and I are huge dog lovers and would give a lot to have one
of our own, unfortunately our rental property is not suitable for a
dog. We are not friends or relatives with anyone who owns dogs and the
local rescue centre is over two hours away. Are there ways for us to
be with dogs...

New Yorker recommends buying "Schnoodles" by
Janet Puistonen
This is the person who wrote their annual present-buying article, which
appeared this week. She also recommends using an internet puppy seller.
Idiocy strikes again. Anyone have time to write a nice letter to them
explaining why it isn't a good idea? They might actually publish it.

Standard Poodle in a multiple cat household? by
Camilla Baird
Does anyone here have some advice for us? We are cat breeders - this
means we have quite a few cats and the cat group changes (individuals
move in and out - there are groups of kittens at irregular intervals) -
we are looking into maybe also getting a dog and have our hearts set for
a Standard...

Artificial insemination by
arctic wolphe
Is it standard/acceptable practice to inseminate a female dog using sperm
that was frozen? I've been in contact with a purebred breeder who is
expecting a litter that was "bred" by artificial insemination.
Thanks!

Buddy Has Found A Sponcer!!! by
Shadow Walker
Hello all,
I can not tell you how elated I am that Buddy will start his treatment after
the 15th of December. He will go for some tests that weekend to see if he is
still infected after the preventative treatment, to check his kidneys and
liver function. Then the vet will determine if he can...

Oh boy, what a weekend (Long!) by
Robin Nuttall
You know it *should* have been a normal weekend. Well at least, a normal
weekend when you're trial chair of your club's agility trial that you've
planned for a year. A normal stress and fun filled event.
I mean, 16" of snow really isn't that much. In Wisconsin and the North
country they...

A cultural experiment with my boxer by
[email protected]
Hello.
I have created a site that is somewhat an experiment. If you have
heard of "The Secret", you should check out this site. If you have
not, you should really check out this site. I have created a site
basically about my boxer. Check the site out, read around and look at
the...

Too much of a good thing??? by
MaxofMO
My wife's coworker is offering bluetick/lab mix puppies for free
adoption. It sounds like two breeds that are strong in the same traits.
Could this be an uberbreed? Has anyone ever had this mix?

sorry about topic "dragging" by
Janet B
Sorry that I mentioned the AOL postings, but it's not about being
petty and I really would like to forget that some thing ever existed,
but I am really quite angry that the public around Baltimore,
potentially some of my students, are being exposed to a dog with a
bite history, that the owner has...

breed wish list by
Janet B
Now that I have a third dog, and knock on cyber-wood, they are all
relatively healthy, it will be a long time before I add another dog to
the household. That, and as I get older, I'm sure I'll be making
decisions between puppy and adult and even breed (a senior flyball
teammate recently got a new...

pretty darned well mixed. She's about 45 lbs. and she's fairly...
