Good dog in need of good home - Baltimore, Maryland area

Hi, everyone,

I have a wonderful terrier mix dog who is about nine years old. She is
very loving and companionable, and she has never been aggressive
towards anyone. She is fully housebroken, though she's not used to
walks -- we have a fenced yard. She loves to lay quietly on your feet.

The problem? I have a toddler. My dog is NEVER aggressive towards the
toddler, but I think due to her age, she's a bit intimidated. She is
very nervous when my son is up and playing with toys or being
rambunctious. My husband and I never let him bother her, but I think
she's just not used to the amount of noise that a young child
generates. She would do very well in an adult-only home, or even a
home with older children (8+).

I will have all her shots and everything updated before giving her
away, so you will not be adopting a burden.

Please let me know if you're interested in more information. My email
address is brigidmary (at) gmail.com.

Brigid, you will not be able to place your terrier via this site. You
need to advertise near home.
Do require a modest payment for the dog. Do (you or your husband)
visit the home(s) of any applicant(s) to assure that they live where
they claim to live, have the fenced yard a terrier needs, and have a
dogproofed home (or you can coach them on this). At 9 yo, most terrier
mixes can do quite well with an older person.
