Default Vegetable preparation for dogs dinner

I have been feeding my 5yo border Collie on a raw meat and crushed veg
diet for several years and she seems to be thriving on it.

To prep. the veg, I use a juicer to mulch-up cabbage, kale, carrots
etc. then mix the juice back with the mulch and freeze in individual
portions.

The problem is that this method takes me about 4 hours hard graft to
prepare the veg for about 2-weeks feed and it's something I really
don't need after working a 10-hour day.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to other speedier methods of
preping veg without loosing valuable vits and minerals ??

Any ideas are much appreciated.

Thanks
Pete

What vitamins and minerals, exactly, are in the veggies that your dog
needs and can't obtain from animal products?

We use a food processor, on 'puree'. It doesn't break down the veggies
quite as much as a juicer, but it's easier to clean and much, much
faster. We do mostly leafy greens.

Thanks for your reply Alison,
To be honest, I've absolutely no idea, however I can't believe that a
protein only diet can be balanced diet.

Thanks

Pete said in rec.pets.dogs.health:

I was wondering if freezing may help as this would break
down the cell walls.....

As does cooking.
