Default ASCA, Part II

Less rain, no lambs.

For the Advanced & Open level dogs, they brought in some
hair sheep. They proved to be better for those classes.
For Started, they took out the lambies!
Our run went great. On the Take Pen section, you can get a total
score of 5 for completing it ("course points") and up to 15 points for
"how" you/your dog does it. We got 10 points for that (15 total, including
the course points).
MUCH better than yesterday's measly *4*!! I helped him, and it went
very nicely. If my addition, and knowlege of the rules is correct, then
we rec'd the total amount possible if the handler enters the pen. Yippee!!
Helping is GOOD. :-)
We also completed one of the obstacles (the 1st) w/o handler & dog
entering, so less points taken off there as well.

ASCA is sort of weird, in that you can get decent points, yet not qualify.
You can get Placements, and not qualify.
However...we DID qualify! Just no placements. I forgot to have a
"Hold" on the re-pen, and lost 5 points (out of 20) for the "Control of
Stock To and at the RePen" section.
All my fault, I completely forgot is all. I am not going to get to hard
on
myself, though, since we've really had very little Take Pen & RePen work.

Yay, Boo-dog, you rocked this weekend!
