These people make it next to impossible to adopt a pet.Terrible
customer service skills,I know they may be volunteers. But I was a
volunteer once and I still showed respect. Was told i would get call
back,no call. They didn't even know i had already emailed my
application back.I'm trying to give a rescued pet a good home and this
guy is making the process as painful as possible.

Telling me "This breed of dog is the most special on the planet and
you need to read this website"

This guy Tony,a real jerk

I was willing to drive 3 hours to adopt this pitt bull.I wish i knew
how to turn this Tony character in.He must have a supervisor.I mean I
have a nice home and plenty of land,no reason to just ignore me like
that.

I had no idea trying to save a dogs life and bring a pet into the home
to love could be so painful and stressful. But

Cedar Farm has made it my reality

He could have atleast called me back like he said he would or emailed
me and tell me something.

He was too busy to talk at the time except for telling me he did not
have my application and i need to read a website on pitts,I did
that..Took me about an hour too,and now this.

Now I don't even want the dog anymore

Just be aware of this loser Tony at Cedar Farm pet shelter in
Mocksville NC

There are two sides to every story. Granted some adoption sources are
not very user friendly. You'll understand why, if you spend a few hours
in their shoes; and no, that doesn't justify it.

If the shelter you went to is anything like the one I work for, one hand
rarely knows what the other hand is doing. Not all employees are
Internet savvy; and the Internet is not 100% reliable.

Yes, Tony the jerk has a boss, or answers to someone. If nothing else,
speak a county commissioner. Won't you look like an ass, if you speak
with his boss and find out he had nothing to do with losing your
application, which led to your being ignored?

I've developed a deep appreciation for "pit bulls."

Regardless of how much land your own in this county, if you don't have a
fenced-in yard or a kennel, you can't be approved to adopt a pit
bull--even if it will be an inside dog.

Why is this about you? I know it is important to receive a response, but
I'm not going to crucify Tony the jerk, without hearing his side of the
story.

I had no idea trying to save a dogs life and bring a pet into the home

Granted, Cedar Farm makes potential adopters jump through a lot of
hoops, but there is a reason for that.

He could have atleast called me back like he said he would or emailed
me and tell me something.

Again, about you.

He was too busy to talk at the time except for telling me he did not
have my application and i need to read a website on pitts,I did
that..Took me about an hour too,and now this.

FWIW, I don't want any "bully breed" going into just any environment.

Now I don't even want the dog anymore.

I'm thinking this incident is more about you, and not so much about the
dog. Because of your narrow view and poor temperament, I wouldn't adopt
to you, if I could legally avoid it.

I contacted Cedar Farm Animal Shelter. They responded immediately.

I'm certainly glad you're not seeking a Chow Chow.
