Homeopathic Remedies For Kennel Cough
http://www.dogsnaturallymagazine.com...-kennel-cough/
This is a great article for those who'd like to try alternative ways of treating sickness, especially when the kennel cough "vaccine" does so poorly on protecting dogs. |

Homeopathic Remedies For Kennel Cough
Plain Robitussin Cough Syrup, NOT including dextromethorphan a cough
suppressant or a decongestant, is inexpensive, easy to find in the US (any place that sells cough syrup), 5 ml/1teaspoon, given at bedtime, does a dandy job. And you know what you're getting. Jo Wolf Martinez, Georgia, USA |

Jo Wolf Martinez, Georgia, USA It's not a remedy. It suppresses a cough for a limited amount of time and that's about it. Also your dosing instructions don't say what weight that would apply to. I don't understand the comment about "you know what you are getting". Most people don't know the side effects of robitussin and don't read the labels enough to know that there are usually other ingredients in it that could cause harm to a dog. By itself it can cause nausea, vomiting, dizziness, or drowsiness and some dogs are allergic to it. That doesn't sound like a good choice to me. As I said, all it does is treat a symptom, it doesn't cure and isn't always safe. |

But Cyndi, the remedies you are espousing don't cure either. If they
did, they would be commonly used and readily available on a physician's or vet's recommendation. Jo Wolf Martinez, Georgia, USA |
