Are Choo-Hooves safe?

I've heard all the arguments against rawhide and have stopped giving my dog those even though she prefers it so much more than her nyla/gumabones. I was just wondering if there was evidence to indicate that the cow hooves they sell as chewtoys could be harmful. I suspect that I shouldn't give them to my dog if I'm not present (it sounds like Kongs and gumabones for her when I'm at work!) but do they have a history of causing any blockage and internal tearing? Please let me know! Thanks! we buy our 3 month old puppy the rawhide roles that get soft as she chews on them like a moist paper feeling. They last her a couple days to a week. Unless we can't find it. I think she's working on 3-4 of them. They come in a bag of like 12 or so I think. of course she is still a puppy. I don't know if it'll be the same as she gets bigger. My husbands grandmother sent her a choo-hoove for christmas. I'm not sure how I feel about it, but it keeps her busy when I need to clean my floors or make dinner |
