Default 9 year old Dalmatian female starting to pee indoors - I don't think it is intentional tho.

Hello,

My 9 year old Dali has recently started peeing indoors. It is when
she is laying down (I think) and when she gets up, there is a small
spot on the carpet. I have noticed this 2x in the past 2 weeks, don't
know what I have missed, or what has been on her bedding. I did
notice awhile ago that she had pee on her tail, now this makes sense
as to why.

What is happening? Does she have a urinary infection? I need to make
a vet appointment. She is on Consequin DS for what seemed to be
arthritis in her rump and legs, she had a hard time getting up or
walking for awhile. Could it be a side effect?!

Thanks!

That's not all that uncommon, particularly in spayed
females. There are several things it could be. The first
step is to take her to the vet to have her checked out for a
UTI or other problems. The most common causes are probably
urinary tract infections and spay incontinence. Both are
treatable.

I would agree with Melinda.
I would also say that Cosequin DS is a natural thing that the body makes.
That is NOT the problem and no there are no side effects.
My dog is on the DS.
You do need to see a vet..to get it sorted.
Pat.
