Live action dog butt

iditarodpodcast.com is an, um, Iditarod podcast. The second
installment this season is a pretty high-quality video of
Lynda Plettner taking some dogs out on a training run. I'm
not the hugest fan (she leases dog teams to adventurous
newbies, gets them through training, gets them through
qualifiers, and then runs the Iditarod with them, which
strikes me a lot like those people who pay $60,000 to be
guided up Everest even though they don't have significant
mountaineering experience) but she has run a bunch of
Iditarods and raised a bunch of high-quality dogs, not to
mention finding a way to make a living in the Alaska bush,
so she's due a lot of credit as a musher.

The video's also a good opportunity to see what a
ultra-marathon dog looks like, for those interested in
physiology.

I have to suppress looks of disgust when I meet said people. Same thing
for those cakewalks up Kili.
