Tara:Yes, as a by product of the bonding aspect of the praise. That's why
I say you use praise as both praise (reward marker) AND distracter.
Connecting the dog to you as part of the reward also serves to prevent
what is about to happen.

I have no problem with viewing it from that angle. I just think that
operant conditioning looks at behavior through the wrong lens.

Tara:I did enjoy talking to you back then as well. Its why I was so
surprised at how you were coming across in here.

I'm much more charming in person. (And in my novels.)
