Thanks --- news://freenews.netfront.net/ - complaints: --- Don't have one but we thought about getting one when we first went dog hunting. They are a good size for many people, small, but not so small they are fragile. Very active, like most other terriers. Probably too active for very young children, unless you are a very experienced dog handler. If you have children under eight years old think carefully before you get one. Most ten year olds can probably adjust their styles to the dog. You will need to keep them busy enough to tire them out. A bored terrier is a terror. They have a reputation for skin problems. -- Bill Clodius los the lost and net the pet to email |

"pacca" wrote in message ... does anybody have a west highland terrier, what is thoughts on that breed ? Thanks I have 2 males (2yrs, 5yrs). Not the smartest dogs but cute and love to snuggle up in my lap. They require regular brushing, haircuts, and baths. Unlike my other Kelpie, they cannot be trusted in the front yard, as they will wander off. Westies don't seem to be as interested in pleasing (read: listening to) their human - they are more "cat-like" than most dogs. |

Scottish Terriers are also very cat like. I have my third one. How
often people think Westies are white Scotties. Although Scotties come in WHeaton, Brindle,Grey as well as Black.Aud |
