Default Border Collie Throwing Up

Hello all ... I'm a newbie and am hoping someone can give me some
advice. This is going to be a bit long, so I apologize in advance but
I want to give an accurate picture of what's going on.

In January, I adopted a female Border Collie named Mickey from the
animal shelter. At that time, I also had Digby, a 12-year-old
Doberman. Mickey is about a year old now. When I first adopted her,
she was having throw-ups, and after several visits to the vet was
finally diagnosed with hookworms. He said hookworms are not always
detectable but have to be at a certain point of gestation to show up on
the stool tests. With Panacur, things got put right quickly.

A couple months went by, and more throwing up started. After several
more visits to the vet and more tests, he diagnosed Mickey as suffering
from indigestion. He put her on Kaopectate three times a day and
Metoclopramide twice a day. Things got better, and after about a month
of treatment, I discontinued the meds.

About a week ago, Digby died due to a stroke. That same day, Mickey
started throwing up again. We went to the vet, and he thinks she might
be suffering anxiety over the loss of Digby. Mickey is somewhat off
her food and water. The vet increased the dosage on the Metoclopramide
and put her back on Kaopectate. We have a follow-up appointment
Monday. Just for info, I walk Mickey at least 45 minutes every
morning. Yesterday evening I walked her a second time for 45 minutes.

Does anyone have any experience with a similar situation who could
offer advice? I would be very grateful for any help. Thank you!
