Default does cayenne pepper upset a dog's stomach?

my dog ate cayenne pepper yesterday, a huge tounge full. I put some
down for ants (which by the way, doesn't appear to be repelling them)
and figured the smell would turn her off. She tasted before smelling
and was definitely not happy with it. Since then she hasn't eaten. I
have an appointment for her for the vet and am waiting to hear back
from him as to whether it could have upset her stomach for so long, but
I am just wondering if anyone in this group has experience with this.

She is also mopey today, but did play up a storm last night.
