Default Advice on adopting out a bitting dog.

I don't think its as bad as the title says but here is my situation.
I have a 6 month old Wheaton Terrier puppy. I also have a 4 year
old and 7 year old. About 6 or 8 weeks ago, my 4 year old daughter
went over to were the dog was eating, the dog snapped at her and
just caught my daughters lip. No stitches but the place were we
took our daughter had recorded the incident as a dog bite.
About six weeks went by and we decided that the puppy
needs to find a new home. The puppy has just too much
energy and plays a bit too rough with the kids. We have
tried the obedience training and have done our best to work with
the dog but unfortunately things have not gone well. During
the puppy's last week at my house, the puppy had
become sick and was unable to keep food down for 2 or
3 days. My daughter likes to put her face next to the dogs
face for the typical face licks. This time she got bit
and the bite resulted in 5 stitches. Of course this is
also recored as a dog bite from the place we took her.

I hate to put a puppy down. The dog has been sent
to a relatives house who is trying to adopt the puppy
out to a good home with no children. The question
that I have is, does anyone have any suggestions on
what I can do or have the new owners sign knowing
that the dog has bitten? I want to protect myself from
any liability if it should ever come up. If anyone does
have a way or idea on what I can do, could you please
give some suggestions or examples on the wording of
what I need to do.

Thank you

composed these thoughts and posted them
ups.com:
Has it occurred to you that the problem isn't the puppy, (because puppies
act that way if not properly socialized) But it's more a problem of the
children not respecting the dog's space? The children and dog can and
SHOULD be both educated.
