"Help me if you can ..."
"So I set out to find out through FAQ, post or blog
How to loosen some gum from the paw of a dog" (With apologies to Loggins and Messina) My Lab-mix stepped on a large, gooey, disgusting wad of gum while on our walk. He's got it smeared between his pads and all over his fur. I removed as much as I could without tearing off his paw. Does anyone know how to get the gum out without injuring the dog? Thanks, CL |

Does anyone know how to get the gum out without injuring the dog? Ice first, cracking off as much gum as you can. Follow up with vegetable oil. Peanut butter works, too, and is easier to clean up because your dog will do that part of the job for you. -- --Matt. Rocky's a Dog. |

LOL! Rocky is the one out in the hall with the gum in his paw!
I'll have to try the peanut butter. There isn't anything big enough for ice anymore, and I don't think (my) Rocky will let me wedge ice cubes between his toes. Now to figure out how to do this without getting peanut butter all over the carpets! :-) Thanks, CL "Rocky" wrote in message ...
