Default Lump/Bump on dog's ear

My 7 year old Dalmatian, Duchess, has a bump on the inside of her ear flap.
It has been there for about 3 months. It is very tender, about 1/4in in
size, and has a white hard crust on top of it. I have tried washing it with
a warm soapy washcloth to get the crust off and using hydrogen peroxide and
then putting antibiotic ointment on it. It doesn't grow in size or change in
any way. It is just there and very tender.

I am hoping that someone here knows what it is and how to treat it. Also, is
it safe to put a pain relieving ointment on it?

Thanks so much,
Duchess

You need to take her to vet. It could be all kinds of things even cancer
but you won't know until you see a vet.

Thanks. I have an appt. for Monday to have it checked. I just wanted to
see if someone knew what it may be and if I could do something to make her
feel better.
