Oh, absolutely. Once I stopped being mad at Conway and started
looking for the *why* of what he was talking about, it started
making a lot of sense.

I think the thing that did it for me was that, going into it, I
knew he was right about a lot of stuff to begin with. Like my
lazy and careless habit of never using 'strict'.

and from the "Programming Pearls" generation, but I'm
currently reading "Beautiful Code" and enjoying it
enormously.
