Default Airedale Help

I have an airedale, he is 3 years old, and very, um, shall we say,
'energetic'. He is not a bad or aggressive dog, just a little
excitible. the problem is when someone comes to the door he tries to
jump up at them, and i wish to break him of that habit. i have tried
clicker training, and although that was great for simple things like
'down' or 'sit' it didn't help at all with jumping. can anybody tell me
how to keep him from jumping without locking him up whenever someone
comes. thanks

If you're not part of the solution, there's good money to be made in
prolonging the problem
