I'm glad your self preservation instincts are stronger
than my "oh yeah good idea let's do that right now" instincts.

Not to worry! I actually do have a healthy sense of self preservation.

Watch out or some government agency is going usurp your
patio in the name of saving an ice floe or some such.

Well, it's snowing now, which I guess is an improvement, only I'm not
too keen on the sleet-ice-rain-ice-snow seven layer dip.

I hope the thaw happens before you and Harriett go stir crazy and
visit chaos and mayhem upon each other.

I think that already happened. She woke me up this morning by boinging
all over the bed, including on top of my head. She hasn't done that
since she was a puppy. She also tried to play with the cat, which
didn't work out very well, but was kind of funny to watch. The power
of the play bow vs. the power of the feline eeevil eye. Aside from the
age difference, they don't exactly speak the same language.

I'm hoping that the snow keeps up long enough to provide some traction
on the ice, so that we can go outside and play. Fingers crossed!

For the past year one of my sisters has been in the early
music performance program at Indiana, and this week she's
got a recital on Wednesday and concerto performance on
Friday (or vice-versa) so a bunch of the family is heading
out there for the concerts. They're very concerned about
the ice - snow is one thing, but ice can really screw up
travel.
