Sorry, was reading chronologically and responding in order. Didn't see
you had already covered that area, which was my main concern about your
original post, Raw/Kibble debate aside.

My dog chews... I've never had a problem with that, however I am aware that
some dogs just inhale like crazy... I use to chop up into small pieces, but
when the dog got into it by herself one day, *she knows how to open the
fridge which was later trained out of her* I found out that she chews quite
well. My mother in laws dog inhales, and so she doesn't feed her dog
knuckles anymore, but he's slowly learning how to chew bones rather than
wolf them down...

some dogs never learn though... I would chop up a bunch of chicken and put
it into individual serving bags into the freezer and just take it out the
night before... did that for a months worth at a time...

*its also a good way to releive tension from work, home, ex husbands, by
sitting and chopping up chicken with a lovely cleaver LOL*

When I was feeding raw, because of how my dogs ate(they inhaled food as
well) I purchased whole chickens and turkeys. I would then cut it up
myself into small peices. Part of why it took me so much time to do,
and why I stopped as soon as I could find a diet that they worked on.
The veggie paste took about an hour to make and lasted about 2 weeks,
but all that chicken took a lot of time to process down to size by
hand.

I wasn't around when that originally happened, but for what it's
worth, I don't hate you. Irritated as bloody hell by you at times,
but *not* hate. And I'd never take my irritation out on your
puppy. That would be sick.

If I were offering the barf diet to make money off of it I would within
seconds... and will you do the same btw for recommendations of the kibble
diets?

various legal obligations of course, with proper papers signed etc etc
etc... must cover all bases for fraud and negligence not cause by the
provider of food...

but people should be bright enough to do their research into this as well...
I can only start by giving a link...

OK be fair. MAp out an exact diet, with correct proportions, and feeding
schedules, and back up what you offer, and if the dog has nutritional
difficulties or complications, offer to pay the vet bills, and you will
have some credibility.

Indeed.

not one of you IS an expert, nor am I

And yet you're willing to give sloppy advice to others. That
really, *really* sucks.

Like I said, I don't care what you feed your dog. That's your
business. It stops being your business when you begin advising
others to do things like feed their dog "raw chicken... chopped
up... and regular veggies that you eat yourself..." That's advice
that could easily get a dog *killed*, and you have no business
disseminating it.

And another reason I don't have that dogfood in my house is that
everytime my son went to feed the dog, his seizure activity would
INCREASe... he'd be fine the first couple of kibbles, *and this is
high end dog food* and then slowly twitching would come in, and at
times he did have full blown seizures...

allergies? not sure... there were no obvious signs when we had him
tested for it...

Your son had seizures from handling kibble?

What?
