Default Dog died by choking while seizing

Yesterday I came home from work to find my 14 year old Sheltie dead,
with a dress of mine that was lying on the floor down her throat. I
have no other explanation other than she had a seizure, and maybe
started chewing on the dress, uncontrollably swallowing it. She had
been having seizures daily for a month, and we thought it was diabetes,
as she was overweight. We started feeding her a holistic diet and
giving her honey occasionally to help her blood sugar. She actually
started looking and acting very healthy.

My question is, has anyone ever heard of an incident like this? She
never chewed on anything but bones, and I can't imagine why she would
start eating a dress?

Never seen this, but nothing's impossible. It's also possible that she was
chewing dress and choked to death.

What medication have you been using to control the seizures?

Honey is sugar. Unless you are treating the dog for low blood sugar due to
diet and/or insulin injections, I can't see where this is good.

She was very old and like people, dogs to experience dementia.
