Default To Judy re fleas

I finally sprinkled the yard granules in the front dogs' yard, just before a
rain last night. I had bought Spectracide, with the hyphenated chemical
that's supposed to be good for a whole year.

OMG. OMG. There are small holes all over, and dying grubs everywhere. I
am impressed. We have certainly reduced the Japanese beetle population.

Flick,
I am sorry to keep on about the fleas but they are keeping on....I
don't see any rain in sight for us. Do you think it would be a good
idea to spray down the granules after applying them. I realize I am not
using the same product you are. Apparently it is more precious than
Gold around here. Did you do it prior to the rain to make it easier on
the dog's pads or for another reason?
Thanks again.

The granules I got this year (Spectracide once-a-year), the package said to
water them in lightly, so I waited until we were expecting rain. I couldn't
find the sprinkler, and I was too lazy to drag the hose all over. Your
package will say whether or not they should be watered in.

Not only did they kill the grubs, blech, they also killed the fire ants.
Swaths of dead fire ants, looked like brown puddles around the mounds :-).

I've never used any type of yard granules that didn't work for fleas, btw.
I've used the ones that are permethrin, I think it is, in the past. Or
maybe diazinon. Sometimes I had to apply them twice in the warm season, but
they were relatively inexpensive.
